Chale Island Resort is a secluded private island retreat off Kenya South Coast, cradled by turquoise water and mangroves near Gazi Bay and Diani. Barefoot luxury sits beside pristine beach and tidal nature. Accommodation spans twelve garden Standard rooms, ten Tower Suites with ocean or garden views, twenty nine Ocean View Bandas, one Overwater Suite, and one Suite on the Rocks on its own cliffside islet. Dining covers Baharini Restaurant, Eli Trattoria, Samaki Sushi Bar, Kibanda BBQ Grill, Jahazi Beach Bar, Barafu Bar, Mkoko Sunset Deck, and Tamu Tamu fruit bar, plus private beach dinners and a wine cellar. Facilities include three shared pools, a spa over a tidal mangrove lake with sulphur mud bath, a 24 hour gym, yoga, and a 5 star PADI IDC dive centre on island. More than 30 days before arrival: no charge. 15 to 30 days: 50 percent. 14 days or less: 100 percent. No show: 100 percent.
Cancellation Spring Season
More than 14 days before arrival: no charge. 7 to 14 days: 50 percent. Less than 7 days: 100 percent. No show: 100 percent.
Deposit and Balance Schedule
30 percent deposit 14 days after invoicing. Balance payable 30 days prior to arrival. Confirmation number issued only once full payment has been made.
Festive Minimum Stay
Festive Season 20 December to 10 January requires a minimum stay of 7 nights.
Check-in and Check-out
Check in from 14:00. Check out by 10:00. Late checkout and day rooms may be available on request. Luggage storage is available.
Meal Plans
Half Board includes breakfast and dinner. Full Board adds lunch. All Inclusive adds soft drinks and a selection of alcoholic drinks at resort outlets. Standard, Tower Suite, and Ocean View Banda rack rates are on Half Board. Overwater Suite and Suite on the Rocks rack rates are on All Inclusive.
Included Activities
Access to motorised and non motorised water sports, island activities, and cultural excursions is included with the rate. Scuba diving and deep sea fishing operate via third party partners and are not included.
Child Policy
Ages 0 to 2 free of charge. Ages 3 to 11 when sharing use the third bed child rate. Ages 12 and above are charged adult rates. All Inclusive for children is included in the adult rate where stated. Maximum room occupancy is generally 3 guests with exceptions by category.
Accessibility
Multiple steps throughout the property mean the resort may not be fully accessible for guests with mobility challenges. Select adapted rooms may be available on request.
